Valves

Aquilex WSI Nuclear Services offers customized services and turnkey capability for in situ refurbishment of critical valves, as well as safety-related valves. Advanced tooling systems, with remote operating and vision systems, are designed to provide a common setup for precision welding and machining. The result is first-time repair quality and no iterative steps to achieve specified repair performance, including plant safety, dose and schedule adherence.

Heat Exchangers

Aquilex WSI Nuclear Services is a specialist in the repair of heat exchanger tubes and components, as well as complete installation of the heat exchanger when required.

Feeder Tube Overlay

Aquilex WSI Nuclear Services has developed the first-of-a-kind feeder tube overlay offering for CANDU plants. The proprietary tool delivers and welds the overlay at the feeder graylock interface and can resolve existing stress issues. The sophisticated, remotely controlled tooling and equipment system, operated by highly-skilled and experienced craftsmen, minimizes radiological risk.

Piping

Aquilex WSI Nuclear Services can install, replace or repair piping affected by flow-accelerated corrosion. When compared to a typical general contractor’s support, our piping construction and replacement support performance are differentiated by our workforce’s pace-setting schedule reliability and our application of machine welding with its consistent result of first-time quality. Aquilex offers, in most cases, vastly superior economic alternatives to piping replacement with repairs that involve the machine application of corrosion-resistant overlays to the pipe ID or compressive stress-inducing (crack-arresting) ambient temperature temper bead overlays to the pipe OD.
